5 people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the N11 just north of Jack Whites Inn.
The accident involving a car and a jeep which were traveling southbound happened around 11 .
Gardai and emergency services are still at the scene, diversions are in place but are expected to be lifted at 1am.
It is understood the injuries of the people involved are not life threatening.
Gardai are warning drivers to take extra caution due to the wet conditions.
